Richy Field, Killer Bees, and Rubber Trees.

So, we are currently on a bit of a staff retreat for the school I am working for in Thailand. No clue why the place is called "Richy Field" but it is a very pretty location. It is located somewhere in the middle of nowhere, near the Myanmar border, right up against the mountains.

I know I tend to exaggerate, but it really is the middle of nowhere.

Yes, that white line is Myanmar. If you want to know more about that, see my previous misadventure.

The place is beautiful. Just breathtaking.

To top it off, there are a ton of friendly dogs, and who does not like dogs?

He was my running buddy, we ran about five kilometers in the morning. He loved it more than I did.

The area is known for honey and rubber, so after my Myanmar Misadventure, I decided to check out the giant honey trees, which apparently are home to killer bees.

Nature hates us.

Beautiful tree, but terrifying nature. These bees are also about an inch long and made from the things of your nightmares.

That entire tree is covered in hives and many of them are killer bees. Go freakin' figure. Cool tree though.

This really made me realize the brilliance of this comic by The Oatmeal.

We also stopped by a very pretty Catholic church that provides for a lot of the refugees and the poor in the area. Good on them!
