One Week and Counting

Well, in one week I will be taking off from the place that I have called home for the last 10 years and head out on a new adventure.

For the last few weeks I have had the phrase stated by John Babsone Lane Soule stuck in my head, "Go west, young man.."  For some reason this phrase has been haunting me ever since my decision to move from Hawaii, to continue my westward expansion.

I guess the idea of heading west to make a name for ones-self is something that still exists in the digital age.

I started out my life's journey in what was a small bedroom community in the East Bay Area of California, and now live in the middle of the pacific.  Putting the blue dot on google earth really does remind me of just how far into the blue abyss I actually live. Scary.

I also just noticed that we are so small that the blue dot completely covers our state.  Wow, that really puts things into perspective...

Guess it is all about perspective with blue dots...

Now, my journey will take me another seven time zones west.  Talk about a journey so far... At this point it might actually be easier to just continue west until I end up back where I started?
